TULSA (April 2, 2019) – This year’s Tulsa Auto Show will be featuring automobiles from a variety of decades, including several from prior to World War II.

Ten cars from 1913 to 1939 will be on display. The 102nd anniversary of the Tulsa Auto Show is being held April 12-14 at the River Spirit Expo at Expo Square.

“These historic autos tend to catch people’s eyes when they visit the show,” Tom Bloomfield, general manager with Don Thornton Automotive Group, said. “Rare vehicles like these are definitely a crowd favorite.”

The autos being displayed are a 1913 Model T Ford, 1926 Model T Ford, 1936 Auburn, 1934 Dodge, 1938 GMC, 1935 Packard, 1936 Plymouth, 1921 Studebaker, 1929 Model A Ford and a 1939 Packard.

The display includes autos provided by the Tulsa Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America. The AACA began in 1935 as a club of people who came together to share their love affair with early automobiles, and has branched out to include regional clubs throughout the nation.

“It is exciting to have the opportunity to show off some pre-World War II automobiles,” Joe Smith, certified appraiser for the Auto Appraisal Group, said. “We know people really enjoy catching a glimpse of these automobiles and we encourage everyone to stop by and see all of them.”

The Tulsa Auto Show is one of the largest consumer shows in Oklahoma and will feature a variety of entertaining activities for adults and kids of all ages. In addition to the rare pre-World War II automobiles, the 102nd anniversary event will include the full-size concept car model; a re-creation of the 1960’s Tulsa Auto Shows exhibit with dozens of automobiles from the 60’s era;  the 18-Hole Mini-Golf Course Experience with proceeds benefitting Crossover Community Impact; the opportunity to test drive 11 cars and trucks from Toyota and Chevrolet; the “Caffeine and Gasoline” event; and lots and lots of 2019 new cars and trucks and eight 2020 models from 25 automobile brands.
