TULSA (April 5, 2019) – If you need a little caffeinated jolt before a day of checking out autos at this year’s Tulsa Auto Show, “Caffeine and Gasoline” is back for another year outside the annual event.

The “Caffeine and Gasoline” feature of the 102nd Anniversary Tulsa International Auto Show will take place Saturday, April 13, from 8-10 a.m. The Tulsa Auto Show is being held April 12-14 at River Spirit Expo at Expo Square in Tulsa.

“The members of Caffeine and Gasoline look forward to joining The Tulsa Auto Show each year,” Curt Rainbolt said. “It has become one of our largest meets and brings in cars from every vintage.”

Hundreds of automobiles from different models, eras and styles will be on display as part of the “Caffeine and Gasoline” event. The group routinely meets once a month at Extreme Racing and Entertainment, with coffee and automobiles being the feature among the car enthusiasts who attend. The group also takes group drives during various times of the year and occasionally schedules private track days. Among the cars that have been a part of the gatherings are Lamborghinis, Aston Martins, Honda Tuners and Ferraris.

“The large number and wide variety of automobiles makes this such a unique attraction leading into our second day of the Tulsa Auto Show,” Bill Knight, president of Knight Automotive Group, said. “Once the public has walked around and enjoyed the autos outside prior to our doors opening, then they can join us inside for the start of the auto show.”

The Tulsa Auto Show is one of the largest consumer shows in Oklahoma and will feature a variety of entertaining activities for adults and kids of all ages. In addition to the “Caffeine and Gasoline” event, the 102nd anniversary event will include a full-size concept car; a re-creation of the 1960’s Tulsa Auto Shows exhibit with dozens of automobiles from the 60’s era; an Historic Automobile Exhibit featuring cars from 1913 to 1939; the 18-Hole Mini-Golf Course Experience with proceeds benefitting Crossover Community Impact; the opportunity to test drive 11 cars and trucks from Toyota and Chevrolet; and lots and lots of 2019 new cars and trucks and eight 2020 models from 25 automobile brands.
