TULSA (April 4, 2019) – Visitors to this year’s Tulsa Auto Show will have an opportunity to see automobiles that will bring back memories from decades ago when they view the re-creation of the  1960’s Tulsa Auto Shows exhibit.

Dozens of 1960’s era automobiles will be featured as part of the Tulsa Auto Show. The 102nd anniversary of the Tulsa Auto Show is being held April 12-14 at the River Spirit Expo at Expo Square.

“There are so many popular automobiles we associate with the 1960’s era,” Tom Bloomfield, general manager with Don Thornton Automotive Group, said. “We hope visitors to this year’s Tulsa Auto Show recognize some of their favorites as they check out the 1960’s auto show exhibit.”

The Tulsa Auto Show will feature a re-creation of the 1960’s Tulsa Auto Shows, with dozens of models that include a 1968 AMX Javelin, Ford Mach 1, Mustangs, 1962 Chevy II, 1966 Nova SS, 1963 Split Window Corvette, Corvairs, 1967 Impala, 1965 Chevy Pickup, 1965 Malibu SS, 1968 Ford F-100, 1966 Dodge Dart GT Convertible, 1968 El Camino, 1961 Pontiac GTO, 1969 Camaro SS, 1965 Plymouth Barracuda, 1965 Ford Custom (Highway Patrol), 1962 Lincoln, Volkswagen Bus and many more.

“We are looking forward to this year’s Tulsa Auto Show,” Dale Turner said. “It will be an opportunity to see many 1960’s era automobiles along with some really nice new autos that features the Auto Show Alpha concept car. This show will also be a great opportunity for the public to see the contrast in 1960’s era autos and current models.”

The Tulsa Auto Show is one of the largest consumer shows in Oklahoma and will feature a variety of entertaining activities for adults and kids of all ages. In addition to 1960’s Tulsa Auto Shows exhbit, the 102nd anniversary event the full-size concept car model; an Historic Automobile Exhibit featuring cars from 1913 to 1939; the 18-Hole Mini-Golf Course Experience with proceeds benefitting Crossover Community Impact; the opportunity to test drive 11 cars and trucks from Toyota and Chevrolet; the “Caffeine and Gasoline” event; and lots and lots of 2019 new cars and trucks and eight 2020 models from 25 automobile brands.
